Todd holds a BSME from Grand Valley State University and a MSME from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Todd began his career as a co-op at Paulstra CRC developing powertrain mounts and then moved on to Visteon Corporation as an NVH Engineer in the axle/driveline group where he focused on axle noise, driveline balancing, and end-of-line test stand development. As the Lead NVH Engineer for Magna Steyr, Todd supported several diesel powertrain integration projects that encompassed a wide range of NVH development activities. These projects began with benchmarking activities to aid in vehicle-level target setting, along with cascading of targets down to the system and component level. At Sound Answers since 2007, Todd has focused on planning, conducting, and management of NVH consulting projects for troubleshooting, sound quality, transfer-path-analysis, rotating machinery, standardized testing, and full-vehicle NVH development. Project experience has ranged across a variety of industries including automotive, agricultural, consumer products, medical, and sporting goods industries. Todd is the Team Leader for Vehicle Development/Integration and has led his team through several NVH vehicle development programs over the past several years. These development projects have included support for hybrid, fully-electric, Diesel, and gasoline powertrain configurations in which key issues were identified and paths to closure were developed and implemented. In addition to his technical role, Todd also supervises the Project Engineers at Sound Answers. Todd holds a Patent (Dynamic Laser Balancing US 6303896 B1) and has authored/co-authored several technical papers.
