Giovanni holds a BSME from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a MSME from Oakland University. He has extensive experience in a number of NVH topics including rotating machinery, sound quality, jury, modal analysis, ODS, transfer path analysis, and production test systems. Giovanni started his career as a vibration engineer at General Motors (Milford Proving Ground) where he focused on smooth road shake (tire/wheel non-uniformities & balance) related issues. Giovanni then joined American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) where he started as a NVH test engineer and later became the NVH test supervisor. He worked at AAM for 8 years, and he was involved with all noise and vibration issues related to driveline components (axles, driveshafts, transfer cases) with focus on troubleshooting and benchmark testing both on-site utilizing 4WD chassis and driveline dynamometers and off-site using portable acquisition systems. Giovanni is now Senior Project Engineer at Sound Answers, which he joined in 2010. At Sound Answers, Giovanni has broadened his NV expertise by working with products from consumer, utility, off-highway and medical industries, and many different techniques such as Source Path Contribution, Acoustic Beamforming and NAH and Sound Quality. Giovanni has also managed various software development efforts, both internal and as part of a SBIR Phase-2 project for the United States Air Force. Giovanni has authored/co-authored several technical papers.
