D.J is co-founder and Vice President of Sound Answers responsible for Sales, Finance and Marketing. DJ holds a BSME from Michigan Technological University. He started in the mid 90’s at ITT Automotive as a Design and Release Engineer specializing in noise and vibration concerns related to DC motor mechanisms for automotive powered seats. He then joined Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC) as an Application Engineer for the I-DEAS suite of software products and transitioned to Sales a year later. DJ has been in Sales ever since, selling solutions for the NVH market including software, hardware and consulting services first at SDRC and then for MTS Systems, which had acquired the NV Test business from SDRC in 1998. In 2003, DJ was promoted to North American Sales Manager for MTS’ NV Division and built a team of 5 Sales Engineers to cover North America. DJ has successfully sold NVH solutions to a vast array of Customers from automotive and aerospace OEM’s to consumer product and component manufacturers. He has successfully completed the Max Sacks’ Track Selling System and Negotiating to Yes by Wilson Learning. Throughout his career, DJ has developed streamlined sales processes and tools that facilitate the engagement with the customer at different levels and are key factors in successfully selling Noise and Vibration solutions. DJ has also coauthored a few technical papers.
